Visiting the birthplace of Michael Jackson in Gary, Indiana




Me and my family visited the birthplace and childhood home of the king of pop, Michael Jackson.  The home was originally built in 1949 and was very small at 672 square feet and housed 10 people!



The house and yard are beautifully maintained as well as the garage next door, but the property is gated and can only be seen from the outside. The home now has a large granite memorial outside, and the windows are all shuttered.

Hoover Dam; A concrete dam on the Nevada/Arizona border which took 5 years to complete and was a massive effort involving thousands of workers and cost over one hundred lives. The Hoover Dam is important because it is a major supplier of hydroelectric power and provides for flood control and river regulation.
